What my plan is for this blog

I want to use this blog to track my progress through this intense journey of IPAP (interservice Physician Assitant Program, but also to let students thinking about applying/waiting to start to get a look at how life is in the program. My name is Rachael and i am Active Duty Air Force. I am currently a 2a553B or instrument Flight Control Systems (avionics) on anything but fighter jets. I submitted my application in January 2008 and was selected as an alternate at the end of April. In June i received a phone call from Mr. Smith telling me i have been picked up for the Interservice Physician Assistant Programprogram and that i would be in the August 2009 class. So it is July 2009 and i have known i am going to school for over a year now. That wait is the longest thing ever! But it is right around the corner for me now, i leave for San Antonio on Monday 28 July 2009 and my RNLT is 7 August 2009. I am so excited and nervous all in one. I will be living in my Grandmothers house (she has not lived there in a few years) and i will be having 2 room mates who are also in my class.. Carl and Candra. The living situation should be god as we can carpool, have a study group and we are all leaving behind our families so we can keep each other company!

Anyways i will keep this posted!
